The Pfandbrief Act (PfandBG) of 2005, last amended by the Law on the Onward Development of Pfandbrief Legislation of March 2009, sets forth the provisions governing the issuance and collateralization of Pfandbriefe.

As part of its publication series, the vdp has published in brochure form the Pfandbrief Act and the Regulations relating to the Pfandbrief Act in German and in English. Please note that the English-language version is an unofficial translation and at present reflects the position prior to the entry into force of the Pfandbrief Act amendment of March 26, 2009.
